Croatia \u2013 and Dubrovnik in particular \u2013 has been added to almost everyone\u2019s\u00a0\u201cgotta go\u201d list over the last few years. Spectacular coastline, crystal clear waters,\u00a0idyllic weather during the summer months \u2013 it\u2019s hard to go wrong.<\/p>\n

With more tourists come higher prices \u2013 but also better quality hotels,\u00a0restaurants, and over-all services. While most people who visit are on cruise\u00a0ships \u2013 and ultimately spend only a few hours on land in a couple different ports\u00a0\u2013 the Croatian coast is a perfect get-away for a relaxing holiday \u2013 if you do it\u00a0right!<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve organized \u201cland\u201d stays in Croatia for members with limited time, but by far\u00a0our best \u201cwow\u201d adventure has been sailing along the coast for 2 small groups of\u00a0friends. \u201cBest holiday ever\u201d, \u201cmost relaxed I\u2019ve been in years\u201d \u2013 hard to beat that\u00a0feedback.<\/p>\n

Dubrovnik is the ideal starting point \u2013 flights work well and the 5 star Villa
\nDubrovnik (http:\/\/www.villa-dubrovnik.hr\/<\/a>) is an unbelievable way to start your adventure. Atmosphere Concierge members love it. In high-season though, rates can be extremely high \u2013 if you can even get a room – and if you need 2 or 3 rooms for a couple of nights, that can add up.<\/p>\n

We took an interesting approach for one small group \u2013 and created a private \u201capartment\u201d for them. It\u2019s actually 4 bedrooms at \u201cRooms Raic\u201d (a quick Google search will get you there). Rather than just getting them the 3 bedrooms they needed, we rented out all 4 \u2013 all for less than one room for one night in a luxury hotel. For that they got their own apartment, private balcony with killer views of<\/p>\n

Dubrovnik, the sea and sunsets, a full kitchen (the owner will even stock the fridge if you ask), all with-in less than a 10 minute walk from Old Town.<\/p>\n

After a couple of days in Dubrovnik (best dinner secret \u2013 charter a speed boat to take you to Cavtat at sunset – and bring along champagne for ride \u2013 then cab it back), they set off for their sailing adventure.<\/p>\n

Here too there are options for every taste \u2013 luxury catamaran and sailboats with Captain, yachts of every shape and size, or a fully-crewed gullet. Then a week of sailing, swimming in private bays, dinner at restaurants only accessible by boat – where your Captain will call in to see what\u2019s fresh, place your order, and have it waiting that evening \u2013 we know, we\u2019ve done it.<\/p>\n

Luxury either way, just a different approach. Because it\u2019s not about how much you spend, it\u2019s how you spend it, and how you spend your time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
